Dr. Brighid Williams received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the
University of Missouri - St. Louis School of Optometry, graduating with
honors and receiving several awards in primary care and contact lens
fitting. Her externship training included rotations in specialty
contact lens fitting and pediatrics. Dr. Williams is originally from
Lawrence, Kansas. She moved to Orlando after graduation, where she
worked in a large contact lens practice prior to opening Eola Eyes with
Dr. Giedd.
Dr. Williams is actively involved in the Rotary Club of College Park.
She is the chair of their annual fundraising event The Taste of College
Park, which takes place each April. She is also a member of the
American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association and the
Central Florida Society of Optometric Physicians.
Dr. Williams lives in College Park with her husband Troy and their son,
Miles (born July 2008). She and Troy enjoy home renovation projects
and spending time with baby Miles.
Dr. Kerry Giedd graduated with honors from The Ohio State University
College of Optometry in 2000, where she received her Master of Science
and Doctor of Optometry degrees. Her training included rotations at the
Cleveland Veterans’ Administration Hospital and a large cataract and
refractive surgery clinic. While in school, she received several awards
for her clinical performance in the area of contact lenses and for her
leadership roles. She is originally from the Cleveland, Ohio area and
moved to central Florida with her husband, Brad, after completing
optometry school. She and Brad, who is also an optometrist, live in
Apopka. They have three children, Lindsey (born April 2003), Braden
(born October 2005), and Matthew (born November 2007).
Dr. Giedd is a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and she is
active in the Florida Optometric Association. In addition to caring for
our Eola Eyes patients, Dr. Giedd enjoys consulting as an investigator
for contact lens industry research projects. When not at work, she
enjoys spending time with her family and their chocolate Labrador,
Kelsey, and cheering on The OSU Buckeyes.
Dr. Nicole Beedle is originally from Jacksonville, Florida. Before her
education in Chicago, Illinois she obtained a Bachelors of Science from
Florida State University in 1993. In 1998, she graduated Magna Cum
Laude from the Illinois College of Optometry. After completing her
doctoral work she continued her education with a Primary Care Residency
at the Illinois Eye Institute.
Dr. Beedle began practice in 2000 and moved to Orlando permanently in
2002. After working in Orlando for 7 years and establishing the focus
of her practice in specialty contact lenses, she joined Eola Eyes in
2009.
Dr. Beedle is actively involved with the Lighthouse of Central Florida,
an organization which promotes the independence of people with sight
impairment. She served on the Board of Directors for 3 years. She is
also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida
Optometric Association.
Dr. Beedle lives with her husband, Tige Stalker, in the South Eola
District of downtown Orlando. She is passionate about her neighborhood
and her community while being a strong advocate of local and
independent businesses. She is an avid reader, enthusiastic traveler
and dedicated runner.
