By Eola Eyes, Doctors of Optometry
Optometrists Brighid Williams, Kerry Giedd, and Nicole Beedle used one simple philosophy in developing the new Eola Eyes location. Their business was founded upon the mission of treating others the way they would want to be treated and, in relocating to Mills Avenue, they strived to design and build an office environment where they could best execute this mission. They wanted to build an office that was chic yet warm and welcoming, a place patients enjoyed coming and where they would receive the best quality and service. The doctors did not anticipate that by applying this “Golden Rule” Eola Eyes would receive so much local and national recognition. Most recently the optometry office received a Golden Brick Award from the Downtown Orlando Partnership.
This award is presented to businesses and projects in Orlando that contribute significantly to the quality of life in Downtown Orlando while also making downtown a more exciting, interesting and desirable place to work, shop and play. This award is special for Eola Eyes because the goal of the award mirrors their commitment to practicing in Downtown Orlando. The nomination submission described the office perfectly. “While paying homage to its 50s-era roots, the (Eola Eyes) building is thoroughly modern, featuring bamboo floors, concrete/glass countertops and a soothing wave-pattern ceiling. It has infused a new office and retail presence into the Mills 50 District.”
Eola Eyes has maintained its commitment to serve those who work and live in Downtown Orlando. They are honored to have received this award from the Downtown Development Board and Community Redevelopment Agency and hope you will have a chance to come in and check out the office and optical boutique.
