Personalized Glasses Using the Best of the Best in Digital Lens Technology

By Eola Eyes, Doctors of Optometry

Do you wish there was a way to see what you’d look like in different styles of frames without actually having to try them all on? If you’re anything like us, you could try on a hundred different pairs until you find the perfect one. Those days can be over with the help of our experienced optician and optical staff and the new state-of-the-art digital lens technology, the Visioffice System. With this system, you can take multiple photos of yourself wearing different eyeglass frames and see yourself in a side by side comparison. This is a particularly great feature for patients who struggle to see themselves without their current prescription glasses on. The images can also be emailed if you want to share the photos with friends and family! The Visioffice makes picking out your new frames fun and easy.

While we recognize that getting a stylish pair of glasses may be important, here at Eola Eyes, our top priority is to welcome you to the world of seeing clearly with the healthiest eyes possible. The Visioffice System does much more than help you choose fashionable frames. Its main purpose is to personalize each patient’s lenses and allow you to obtain the best vision possible. The Visioffice System takes into account your prescription and lifestyle. It measures your natural head posture as well as the real 3D position of each eye’s unique eye rotation center. With all of this information, we can select the appropriate individualized Essilor Eyecode or Varilux lenses for you, which will give you the most precise vision possible no matter where you look through the lens. Eyecode lenses are for single vision prescriptions and Varilux lenses are progressive lenses, most often worn by people over the age of 40 who experience presbyopia—a condition in which near vision becomes increasingly blurred with age.

Not quite sure what Varilux lenses are? Varilux lenses by Essilor have a broad range of products that are customized for each patient’s individual needs. Taking advantage of new technological advances, Varilux lenses give you crisp vision at all distances without using the dreaded bifocals (meaning, there’s no unsightly, age-defining line running across your glasses)! We always trust and recommend Varilux lenses because they offer comfort, high resolution vision in any light, dynamic vision steady in motion, and quick adaptation.

In addition to the Eyecode and Varilux digital lens technologies, we use other innovative methods for giving you the clearest vision possible while protecting your eyes. One product we recommend is Crizal, which is a no-glare, anti-reflective lens coating. By reducing glare, it allows you to see clearer. It also protects your eyes from harmful UV rays. It has smudge resistant and dust repellent properties, which keep your lenses cleaner and more scratch resistant. When coated with Crizal, your lenses are virtually invisible! Another lens technology we recommend is Transitions. (link to Transitions web site as on our lens page) Your lenses will darken as you step outside and provide 100% UV protection. There is even a polarized option called Transitions Vantage.

We are dedicated to making sure our patients leave happy, healthy, and seeing clearly! Come visit us at Eola Eyes to get your personalized lenses. For more information about our new digital lens technology, please visit our website.  See you soon!
